See article KB-00018 to learn how to create a RAS screen name on ChivaNet.

Downloading the Client

Installation on Microsoft Windows

This has been tested by ChivaNet staff to work perfectly on Windows XP. Simply run the downloaded EXE file.

Configuring for ChivaNet

Before signing in, you will need to configure AIM to work with ChivaNet's Retro AIM Server:

1. Click the Setup icon (looks like a yellow wrench) on the sign-on screen
2. Click the Connection button
3. Change the Host field from login.oscar.aol.com to aim.chivanet.org (port 5190 is correct)
4. Click OK
5. Click OK once more

AIM should now be configured to work with ChivaNet's Retro AIM Server.

Installation on UNIX/Linux with Wine
